Six months!

I can hardly believe it, but my precious Eleanor Pearl is six months old (this side of the womb) by both day and date today.  Jason and I have both marveled lately at the vast changes she's made in appearance and abilities.  It's like she's a completely different baby than the tiny bundle we brought home on that snowy January evening.

Ellie is truly a joy; she smiles easily and fusses very little.  She is certainly one of the least fussy babies I have ever known.  I jokingly told Jason recently that Ellie has spoiled us.  Our next baby will undoubtedly be much more high maintenance, and we won't know what to do with ourselves!

My favorite part of the day is definitely getting Ellie out of bed in the morning.  She grins so widely, scrunches up her usually-wide eyes, and gets so excited that her breathing picks up and her little arms start to shake.  She is such a darling!  I have written before about how Everett's death changed me and taught me.  Ellie teaches me daily and stirs a joy in me that is almost unmatched.

It is an exquisite thing to know a person from the very beginning.  And I am enjoying every moment!
